Advantages
Why 3D print with Polymerate Labs?
Lead Time Reduction (90% Faster)
We bypass the traditional CNC machining queue. While metal tooling takes weeks to machine and ship, we print functional tools overnight. 91% reduction in tool development time by switching to 3D printed fixtures.
Ergonomic Weight Reduction
3D printed thermoplastics and composites are significantly lighter than aluminum or steel tools. A standard FDM printed fixture is often 60-70% lighter than its metal equivalent.
Complex, Integrated Designs
3D printing allows for part consolidation—replacing a fixture made of 20 screwed-together metal parts with a single, solid printed unit. Less assembly time for the tool itself and fewer points of failure (no loose screws).
Non-Marring Contact Surfaces
Unlike steel fixtures which can scratch Class-A surfaces (painted or polished parts), polymer tools are inherently non-marring. drastically reduces scrap rates caused by cosmetic damage during assembly.
Digital Warehousing
You don't need to store shelves of physical jigs for products you no longer manufacture frequently. We store the digital STL file. When you need the tool again in 2 years, we simply hit "Print".
Fast delivery
We deliver your products in 48-72 hours if in Hyderabad or 3-5 days across India.

In 80-90% of assembly applications, yes. While plastic cannot match the absolute rigidity of tool steel, modern engineering thermoplastics (like Carbon/Glass Fiber Nylon) offer immense stiffness and durability. They are strong enough to hold parts for machining, welding, and assembly, while being significantly lighter and cheaper than metal.
Savings typically range from 50% to 90% compared to CNC machining. The savings come from two places:
Material: We only print the material needed (no swarf/waste).
Labor: We don't need a skilled machinist to program and run a CNC mill. We just slice and print.
We select materials based on your environment.
Standard Assembly: PLA+ (up to 55°C).
Industrial/Automotive: ABS/ASA (up to 85°C).
High Temp: PA-CF/GF (up to 180°C+).
Please specify your operating temperature when requesting a quote.
For industrial parts, we typically hold tolerances of ±0.1 mm to ±0.2 mm depending on the geometry and material. For critical precision points (like dowel pin holes), we recommend printing slightly undersized and reaming them to the exact fit, or using metal drill bushings.
